In a scene straight out of a Hollywood film, armed robbers struck Regal Jewels in Hatton Garden at 12:43 PM on Thursday. CCTV footage shows three masked men entering the premises while a fourth waited outside in a grey Audi S4. Staff were zip-tied at gunpoint, and within eight minutes, the group vanished with over £2.4 million in uncut diamonds and rare timepieces.
The getaway vehicle was found torched in Bethnal Green two hours later. No DNA or fingerprints were recovered, leading investigators to believe this was a highly professional job.
Now, attention turns inward. Insiders confirm that staff keycards were used to disarm the alarm system moments before the robbery, and one employee — recently fired under suspicious circumstances — has yet to be located.
The Metropolitan Police are investigating ties to a known East End gang and probing a possible internal leak. Security footage and call logs are being reviewed, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
As one source put it: “They knew exactly what they were after – this wasn’t random.”

Layla Bennett

Victor “Vicks” Halloran
Known associate of the East End Gilmour Gang. Served time for armed robbery in 2017. Allegedly seen near Hatton Garden the morning of the crime.

Tony Marchetti
Owner of Regal Jewels. Claims no knowledge of inside help, but recently took out a large insurance policy. Some staff say he was under pressure financially.
